Situated in the Rooiberg Breede River Conservancy on the Rooiberg Mountain this completely off-grid nature venue offers great views of the Vinkrivier valley and Langeberg mountains. You can expect peace and tranquility here, as well as a close up experience of the very diverse flora, birdlife and small antelope like grey reebuck, duiker, steenbok and cape grysbok. The variety of interesting reptiles and insects will amaze you.

What we offer
Facilities at RoamRooiberg

The venue offers eco friendly overnight accommodation, MTB routes, hiking routes, bird watching, canoeing and great photographic opportunity. There is a fully equipped MTB shop with workshop which makes it the ideal stop over from where the enthusiastic mountain biker can explore the area. We have rental bikes and kayaks available. A 150m kiddies cycling trail offers youngsters a fun bike ride while parents can watch them from the deck of the guesthouse.

Our two-bedroom guesthouse sleeps 4 guests, and our guest suite, which is annexed to our main farm homestead, sleeps 2 guests.

The MTB trail was professionally designed to offer a real challenge to the experienced rider, while still being enjoyable for the riders starting out.

The fully equipped MTB shop offers most of what the cyclist might need, and our technical knowledge will help get your bike going again in no time.

RoamRooiberg is on the Rooiberg mountain. The road into the property is a well maintained jeep track, suitable for most vehicles. Specific high clearance vehicles are not necessary when visiting, but we do recommend careful driving in vehicles with a lower ground clearance. Ultra low ground clearance vehicles not recommended.

A lovely memory that you would like to repeat as often as possible. RoamRooiberg was the most wonderful surprise. The beautiful and tranquil surroundings as well as the very special and fantastic hosts Jacques and Tertia offer heaps of information and wonderful stories to keep you smiling all through your stay.They also run an excellent cycling shop that offers incredible mountain bike rides as well as walks. Our stay was very comfortable and one of the best experiences we have ever had. We can't wait to return to what is going to become a firm favourite. RoamRooiberg is more than just a stay over, it has to be experienced.
